Wednesday, Jan. 13--Read p. 626-629 -- notes over generators and transformers-- no HW
Thursday, Jan. 14--Read and outline p. 379-385 (must do for HW if not finished in class); HW--answer questions 1-5 on p. 385

8th grade EARTH SCIENCE -- We are currently studying WEATHERING AND EROSION from Ch. 7 and Ch. 8... NEXT TEST WILL BE ON TUESDAY, Jan. 26
Monday, Jan. 11--Discuss the worksheet from Friday on Weathering and Erosion--keep this worksheet as the first page of your study guide-- no HW
Tuesday, Jan. 12 -- Answer the questions on p.166 (1-4); then read the section 7.3 on soils; Discuss from Ch. 8 types of mass movements; no HW
Wednesday, Jan. 13--Using Ch. 8 Sec. 1 draw a diagram of each type of mass movement and write three bullet points of information about each mass movement (turn in for grade); no HW if you finish the assignment
Thursday, Jan. 14--Read p.191-197 about wind- Define suspension, saltation, deflation, abrasion, and ventifact
Friday, Jan. 15--
9th BIOLOGY-- We are currently studying Ch. 23 on HEREDITY and GENETICS
Monday, Jan. 11--Read the first part of Ch. 23 and begin understanding of the vocab. in the section; Go over the semester exams with students -- no HW.
Tuesday, Jan. 12--Use the website linked below and read the MEIOSIS information, watch the two MEIOSIS I and MEIOSIS II animations, read the next two pages, then take the MEIOSIS TUTORIAL questions 1-10. Tomorrow you will have the exact same quiz
Wednesday, Jan. 13--Meiosis quiz today; More notes over meiosis; HW-- p. 607 (answer questions 3 and 4)
Thursday, Jan. 14--Review meiosis and meiosis vocabulary; begin Mendelian genetics by reading p. 607-608 and defining the vocab; HW--study for Meiosis quiz tomorrow
Friday, Jan. 15--Meiosis quiz today including
11th grades -- We are studying the MUSCULAR SYSTEM-- TEST WILL BE ON FRIDAY, JAN. 22 over MUSCULAR SYSTEM
Monday, Jan. 11--Discuss cellular respiration -- aerobic (needs oxygen) and anaerobic (doesn't need oxygen but makes lactic acid that "burns"); no HW
Tuesday, Jan. 12-- continue reading about RIGOR MORTIS and discuss the ways ATP energy is made for muscles (creatine phosphate, fermentation, and cellular respiration) then discuss the neuromuscular junction, and how the message for contraction is transmitted and received by the muscle
Friday, Jan. 15--Meiosis quiz today including
