Know how to do the worksheet from Friday as well as ...

  • Know how to do crosses (using Punnett Squares) like on Friday’s worksheet-- as in a dihybrid cross.) You will also need to understand and use a Punnett Square for determining traits with incomplete dominance.
  • Know the five traits Mendel studied in peas and the dominant gene in each pair.
  • How are multiple alleles different from polygenic inheritance? Which of the two involved more than one gene?
  • Blood type is an example of both multiple alleles and incomplete dominance.
  • Know the genotypes of each blood type and be able to predict blood types of offspring.
  • Know examples of sex-linked traits, and why they are more common in males than in females.
