HOMEWORK Apr. 26-30, 2010

7th grade PHYSICAL SCIENCE...........We are currently studying ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES and LIGHT AND LENSES..... Test has been moved to FRIDAY, Apr. 30 over Ch. 18 and Ch. 19
Monday, Apr. 26--Received study guide for Friday's test over the Electromagnetic Spectrum and Light and Lenses; Notes on Convex and Concave lenses
Tuesday, Apr. 27--Lab using the lenses to see what different lenses do to light -- Class demo with OPTICS kit as well as group lab to see what happens with each lens type
Wednesday, Apr. 28
--Demonstrate convex and concave lenses with the OPTICS KIT as well as convex and concave mirrors (see Funhouse Mirrors online)

Thursday, Apr. 29--Review game for tomorrow's test!
Friday, Apr. 30--Ch. 18 and Ch. 19 test today

Monday, Apr. 26--Review of the frog dissection (with a class demonstration)
Tuesday, Apr. 27--Students use textbook to write one page of facts about mammals to be turned in
Wednesday, Apr. 28--Notes over mammals (in prep for the pig)
Thursday, Apr. 29--Use your computers and information found on websites to find out information for making a chart of 5 facts about the systems (Skeletal, Integumentary, Respiratory, Circulatory, Digestive, Nervous, Muscular, Reproductive, and Excretory systems) Check out these websites for pig system information BIOLOGY JUNCTION and VIRTUAL PIG DISSECTION

11th grade HAP -- Your next test will be over the Respiratory System and the Digestive System on Thursday, Apr. 29

Tuesday, Apr. 27-- Finish the notes on the digestive system
Wednesday, Apr, 28--Review for the test tomorrow
Thursday, Apr. 29--Test over the Respiratory System and the Digestive System
Friday, Apr. 30--
Part 1: Outline the urinary system, specifically Ch.16 Sec.1. This should be done using the textbook and should contain FUNCTIONS OF THE URINARY SYSTEM as the first roman numeral and ORGANS OF THE URINARY SYSTEM as roman numeral two. (Supporting information needs to be given for each organ/function.)
Part 2: Draw a diagram of the urinary system (like Figure 16.1) but draw one kidney open with renal cortex, renal medulla, and renal pelvis and the renal artery and vein (as in Figure 16.3)
